Currupting the Children

The ability to control the hearts and minds of the children today will result in the ability to control the hearts and minds of America tomorrow.

We hear and read a lot today about the dangers of “turning America into a Theocracy,” “The Radical Right,” “Evangelical Christians,” “The Religious Right,” and the “Fundamentalist.”   It is almost as if the main stream media, in conjunction with the liberal left and their Democratic colleagues, is conducting a campaign to completely exterminate any group who espouses Christianity or believes the teachings of the Bible.

It is time that America take a good hard look at what these people who decry Christianity and Christian values are doing and their real agenda.  They attempt to keep our attention focused away from themselves by pointing to the supposed dangers of those who oppose them.  These groups have a definite agenda of secularizing America and use the guise of “separation of church and state” and “multiculturalism” to accomplish their purpose.

Realizing that they cannot accomplish their purposes through the ballot box or in the halls of Congress, they have turned to liberal activist judges.  Notice how when the people pass a referendum or congress passes laws that are opposed to the radical liberal agenda they rush to find a judge who will  declare the referendum or the law “unconstitutional.”  Many of us recognize this but what we fail to realize is that while our attention is directed elsewhere  they are targeting the Children of America.

The real battle for control of the hearts and minds of America is not being waged in the streets of America nor is it being waged in the public square.  It is being waged in the classrooms of our children and is by and large going unnoticed by the majority of Americans.  Even though this is nation in which 86% of the people adhere to the Christian Faith, take a moment and notice what has been going on in our children’s classrooms.

The first step was to abolish prayer in the class room.  This was done under the guise of not offending non-Christian children and atheist.  While on the surface that sounds like a noble purpose, it also removes the moral tone for the day that is set by reciting the Lord’s prayer, and, furthermore, it was only the beginning step in the agenda of the liberal left.

Since then the Bible and Bible clubs have also been banned from our public schools.  The idea of a few students meeting in the school building for religious purposes has been declared a violation of the separation of Church and State.  Teachers have been banned from discussing the Bible in the classroom and students have been forbidden to bring Bibles to class.  Clothing bearing any Christian language has been banned.  In other words, every form of Christian expression has been removed from our schools.  It is interesting to notice, however, the there is no such ban in place for any other religion or for clothing with obscene and un-American images.

Schools have even gone so far as to replace the name “Christmas” with the name “Winter Festival” and “Easter” with the name “Spring Festival.”  The Easter bunny is now to be referred to as the “garden bunny.”  The singing of Christmas carols has also been removed from our schools.  The boy and girl scouts have been forbidden the use of our public schools because part of their pledge is to remain “morally straight.”

The theory of evolution is being taught as fact rather than theory and the teaching of Creationism or Intelligent Design is forbidden.  History classes have been revamped to teach what is “politically correct.”  The pledge of allegiance has been declared “unconstitutional” because it contains the words “under God.”  Patriotism is no longer stressed, rather a form of “one world” is being taught.

Notice also what has replaced the things that have been removed.  Sex education is now being taught to children as early as the fifth grade.  In these classes our children are being taught how to use condoms and how to practice “safe sex” rather than being taught abstinence, which is the only foolproof way of avoiding unwanted pregnancy.  What is more, they are being taught that homosexually is simply an alternative lifestyle which is just as acceptable as the traditional marriage of one man one woman.  This of course being done under the guise of  “sensitivity training.”

Notice the results of this “training of the young.”  There is an alarming increase in the cases of children in elementary and Jr. High School being caught engaging in various sexual activities both at the school and on the school busses.  Statistics show that young children are practicing sex in much higher percentages than ever before and juvenile pregnancy rates have gone through the roof.

Corporal punishment has been removed from the schools except under extreme circumstances.  As a result children have lost respect for the teachers, the administration, and the rules of conduct.  We are seeing teachers and bus drivers being assaulted.  Other children being assaulted and a proliferation of guns in school combined with the shooting of other students.

The grading system is under attack and the “flunking” of students is almost totally a thing of the past.  Test are being “dumbed down” with the result that students are being graduated from high school who are functionally illiterate.  In too many instances race is the determining factor for entering college rather than scholastic ability.

Yes, the battle for the future of America is being waged in our classrooms and the “bad guys” are currently winning the battle.  If the good and decent people of America don’t wake up and put an end to this nonsense our children are going to pay the price for our apathy for generations to come.

We the People have the ability to change the future of our nation and return to the sound principals and teachings of our parents and grandparents.  Our Constitution gives us that right and we can prevent a decreasing minority of Democratic legislators and activist judges from taking it away from us.
