Never in 200 Years
The year was 1760. On October, 25 George William Fredrick was anointed King George III of England. During the early years of his reign King George involved England is several wars. The early defeat of France brought an end to the “Seven Year War.” However, the cost had been heavy and the Royal Treasury was in desperate need of funds. To acquire these funds King George looked across the ocean to the thirteen colonies which England had established in the New World. When the colonist began to resist his efforts to collect taxes and impose his will on the colonies, King George was seeing something he had never seen before. After all, he was King!
Who were these rabble rousers who would defy his authority? Wasn’t he King of England and reigned with divine authority? Did he not have the power to tax and they had no right to resist. He would “keep the rebels harassed, anxious, and poor, until the day when, by a natural and inevitable process, discontent and disappointment were converted into penitence and remorse.” When he sent ships laden with heavily taxed tea to the colonies, they had the audacity to dump it into Boston Harbor. In return Parliament passed the Coercive Acts, call the Intolerable Acts by the colonist. He could not believe these peasants. He would exert even more control over their lives by sending Royal troops to whip them into shape. But the colonist would not come out and confront his armies in the accepted system of warfare. They shot his soldiers from behind trees, from under bridges and used hit and run tactics. He had never witnessed such an uprising and defiance of authority, and frankly, he had no idea how to handle it. History has recorded the outcome of this struggle between the colonist and the king.
The colonist penned a Declaration of Independence, and pledged their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor in defense of it. Later they wrote the greatest document ever created to control man’s relationship with man. The opening phrase “We the People” was used in the Constitution to make it very clear who held the power in America. They named their new nation the United States of America. By the grace of God, we call it home.
Flash forward to January 20, 2009. Barack Hussein Obama was “anointed” as the forty-fourth President of the United States. Just five days before his election he made the statement, “In five days we are going to fundamentally change the United States of America.” He was joined in his Royal Court by Prince Harry and Princess Nancy. Together these three set out to subjugate the descendents of the colonial Patriots. Taxes were imposed, laws were passed, and steps taken to gain complete control over the people. Then a movement took place which had not been seen on this soil for over two hundred years. A grassroots movement of American Patriots, unwilling to give up this “land of our fathers,” once again made their voices heard. Obama’s Royal Court could not believe it. “We the People” were actually challenging their authority.
“Are we not the government?” they cried. Is not Obama the “Messiah,” sent to reign with divine approval? Who are these rabble rousers to challenge our authority? “Are we not smarter than the average person and able to know what is in their best interest?” “Are we not above both the Constitution and God’s law?” “We must take steps to quell this rebellion by our subjects.” The first attempt was through ignoring the voices of the people, then ridiculing them. They were referred to as “astro-turf.” An attempt was made to identify the “leaders” of this movement. “If we can silence the leaders of the opposition, through laws, we can resume our elite status as the Rulers of America.”
The Royal Court has never seen anything like this in their lifetimes and do not know what to do about it. They don’t understand that the blood which flowed through the veins of those colonial Patriots has been passed down through the generations to the Patriots of today. Nor do they understand that the “Torch of Liberty,” lit in 1776, is a flame brightly burning the hearts of all true Americans. The young heroes of America, who for two hundred years have fought and died for this “Land of Freedom,” will not have died in vain. On November 2, 2010 the Patriots won a decisive battle. The elite panicked! King Obama immediately proclaimed himself to be the “champion of the people.” He immediately moved to the center! “They are fools,” thought the elite. “Therefore, we will fool them for a couple years then regain our power to continue our subjugation of the ignorant masses.” Prince Harry, with confidence, made the absurd statement, “Once the nation’s economy improves, the Tea Party will disappear.” Like King George III, the Obama Court is facing a situation they have never seen before and which they are totally unable to understand.
Our founders did not bequeath us this Land of Freedom to have it destroyed by the likes of the Obama Court. Our heritage is not one of surrender. Yes, thanks to the Royal elite, the economy is bad. However, I can assure Prince Harry that what he is seeing spreading from shore to shore has nothing to do with the economy. It is about a little thing known as FREEDOM. Our founders were not willing to surrender it to King George, and “We the People” have no intention of surrendering it to Obama and his Royal Court.
Abraham Lincoln said, “You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can’t fool all of the people all the time. Some have drank the kool-aid and will think the leopard has changed his strips. The Patriots of America know a ruse when they see one. One more election and we begin rebuilding this Land of Freedom. We will reconstruct Reagan’s “Shinning City on a hill.” To our shame we have allowed the elite to assume power over “We the People.” To our credit, the Patriots of America are now awake and marching in lockstep to the drumbeat of our founders. They did not disappoint us, and we will not disappoint them. So help us God!
